Former Congressman Newt Gingrich will meet with Gov. Nathan Deal Thursday, after which many observers expect him to announce he’ll take the first step toward a presidential candidacy. Gingrich’s spokesman said late Tuesday the former House speaker would not announce that first step, the formation of a presidential exploratory committee.
