A Japanese tractor and garden equipment company has opened a new $73 million manufacturing plant in north Georgia. Gov. Nathan Deal Monday celebrated the grand opening of the new Kubota Corp. plant in Jefferson.

A food processing company plans to invest $11 million to expand its snack-making plant in Waycross. Executives of Rich Products Corporation say the expansion will increase the southeast Georgia plant's manufacturing capacity by 30 percent.
