Market Sags Under Too Many Peanuts
Growers are expected to harvest a million more tons of peanuts than they can sell this year. Federal forecasts put the harvest above three million tons, and some in the industry think that’s a low estimate.

Peanut Prices Expected To Decline
Farmers are increasing acreage by 20-percent. Prices for peanut butter could decline in the fall, once crop makes its way into food. Prices last year broke records.
