The Atlanta Hawks and two other teams have been fined an undisclosed amount by the NBA for tampering. The Hawks said Monday they were one of the sanctioned teams, saying they "fully understand and respect the NBA's decision."
More than a week after getting bounced from the NBA playoffs, the Atlanta Hawks are still trying to figure out who's going to coach them next season. It might be Larry Drew, their coach the last three seasons. General Manager Danny Ferry has made it clear it also could be someone else.
The Atlanta Hawks plan to cover the tolls drivers normally pay on Georgia 400 during Tuesday morning's rush hour. The team said in a statement it will pay the 50-cent tolls from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. Tuesday to promote the return of NBA basketball after a labor agreement was reached, ending a lockout.
