Grant Supports Deaf Literacy
Georgia State University researchers have received a $10 million grant to create a research center to help improve reading for children who are deaf or hard of hearing. The center will be the first of its kind in the country.

School Districts Receive Literacy Grants
The Georgia Board of Education is awarding nine school districts a portion of $24 million in federal literacy grants. They will allow schools to build literacy plans for their students
