Chatham County officials have decided to raze one of downtown Savannah's biggest eyesores. For decades, an old jail has looked out-of-place in the city's famed, tourism-generating Historic District. The 1970's building long outlasted its usefulness as inmates have been moved to a newer facility miles from downtown.
