    In the last month, two high school football players in Georgia died from what appear to be heat-related causes. These incidents have, again, focused attention on the issue of extreme heat and physical activity, and the particular dangers for young athletes. Tim Simmons spoke to GPB about the issue. He is manager of the sports medicine program at Gwinnett Medical Center, and a member of the national and Georgia Athletic Trainers Associations.
