It’s good to be a Georgia incumbent this year in the U.S. Congress. In east Georgia's hotly-contested 12th district, John Barrow held off Republican Lee Anderson Tuesday to remain the only white Blue Dog Democrat from the Deep South in Congress. In southwest Georgia's 2nd district, Democratic Rep. Sanford Bishop of Columbus has defeated a Republican challenger to win an 11th term in Congress. Bishop beat John House of Midland.
