Mexican and Guatemalan laborers probably won’t see any of the back pay they’re owed by a Franklin-based forestry contractor. A federal Judge in Atlanta this week ordered Eller and Sons Trees, Inc. to pay $11.8 million to the guest workers, but neither side thinks that will happen.

Georgia does a lot of business with China. We sell the country lots of forestry products and chickens. So why don't some industry groups want to comment on a trade dispute currently in the U.S. Senate? Some of them have unresolved complaints with the Chinese. Or their members are divided.
