Ga. Bankruptcy Rate Third-Highest In U.S.
The personal bankruptcy rate among Georgians reached the third-highest in the nation last fiscal year. Nearly 8 out every 1,000 Georgians filed for bankruptcy in the fiscal year that ended June 30th.

State Revenues Jump, First In Years
State revenue for June went up by nearly 4%. But that still leaves the state short for the year by 9.1%. The state can now close the books on the last fiscal year -- the third in a row ending in negative territory.
