The Savannah Morning News reports that 1,597 people showed up for Tuesday's event hoping to find work with the city. The city had 22 open positions, including assistant chief of police and undergraduate intern.

Officials at the Georgia National Fairgrounds say revenue from this year's fair declined by more than 2 percent from last year. Total revenue for the Georgia National Fair was $4,562,500, a decrease of $107,000.
