President Barack Obama is in Atlanta for a fundraiser. Air Force One touched down around 11:15 a.m. Tuesday at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, and Obama is scheduled to attend an event at the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel downtown at 1:25 p.m.
Republican candidate Herman Cain says he's suspending his bid for the Republican presidential nomination to avoid news coverage that is hurtful to his family. Cain's announcement came five days after an Atlanta-area woman claimed she and Cain had an affair for more than a decade.
