    Jekyll Island Leads Contest
    Jekyll Island has the most votes in a contest by Coca-Cola. The Georgian park is set to receive $100,000 if it maintains its lead to fund park projects. It is trailed by two other south eastern United States parks in second and third place.

    New Ga. License Plate To Be Revealed
    The wait is over for Georgia's new license plate design. Gov. Nathan Deal, Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle and Revenue Commissioner Doug MacGinnitie are expected to announce the winning design on Monday at the state Capitol. The contest ran up against a bit of controversy earlier this summer after confusion arose over whether the motto "In God We Trust" would be on the new car tag.
