A new pass is now mandatory for outdoor enthusiasts at 32 sites statewide. It’s called the Georgia Outdoor Recreation Pass (GORP). Visitors are now required to purchase the GORP for $3.50 for three days or $19 for the year.
A new law going into effect July first gives Georgia bicyclists more protection. Lawmakers this year passed the Better Bicycling Bill. Savannah bike campaigner Drew Wade says, the law means motorists might have to move at least partly into another lane when passing cyclists on the road.
