In a wild Class AAAAA second-round playoff game, the North Cobb Warriors overcame a nine-point Stephenson lead in the fourth quarter to capture a 60-57 victory.

Milton held off visiting Walton 68-62 in a Class AAAAA first-round playoff game. The Eagles pushed the lead to 13 in the third quarter before Walton narrowed the gap to four points by the end of the quarter.

Terrell Cason’s two touchdown runs propelled visiting Cairo to a 21-0 victory over St. Pius in the Class AAA quarterfinals. The Syrupmakers (11-2) will make their first semifinals appearance since winning the state title in 2008.

Both are defending champions, and bring back a ton of talent. The Panthers actually beat the Eagles 3-2 in the teams’ season opener.
