Animal Control officials in Savannah are seeking homes for stray dogs in advance of renovations that will temporarily close a portion of the agency's kennels. The Animal Control center will have to close a third of its 116 kennels at a time for several weeks.

A man has been arrested in Burke County for dumping dead dogs on the side of the road. The rural area has a feral dog problem and no animal control.

Burke County sheriffs are looking for the person who killed 19 dogs and left them on the side of the road. Some blame the fact that the county doesn’t have animal control.
