As more and more games are played the process of deciding who makes the cut becomes harder each week. The scale of potential vs. production is starting to tilt in the direction of production on the field, however you simply cannot ignore potential and who a player projects to be at the next level.

The 12th annual Regions Bank Directors Cup competition may have produced winners that almost anyone could have guessed, but it once again provided for great excitement throughout the Georgia high school sports year.

High school soccer season kicks off with many familiar names atop the rankings. Perennial powers Starr’s Mill and Collins Hill are the teams to watch in all classifications. Both are defending champions, and bring back a ton of talent. The Panthers actually beat the Eagles 3-2 in the teams’ season opener.
For wrestling enthusiasts seeking their latest fix of championship wrestling with the state dual championships delayed due to weather, the third annual Clinch Gear Prep Slam was held this past weekend at Holy Innocents’ and the action did not disappoint.
