The No. 1 Buford Wolves have won four straight state titles but have lost at least one game each of the last two years. The one loss in 2009? The Lovett Lions upset Buford that year 28-21 to end Buford’s 32-game winning streak.

In the first full Friday night of high school football, we wrote 35 recaps of metro Atlanta games. Led by Collins Hill’s comeback victory over Roswell in a game that was televised by GPB, there were several exciting games around Atlanta.

The GHSA State Tennis Playoffs begin the weekend of April 22, and there are a host of teams across the state and all classifications thinking they have a chance to win some silverware. The metro area boasts plenty of the postseason favorites, with a few returning champions among them looking to repeat.
