The second man accused of desecrating a historic cemetery has been arrested. The men are accused of digging up and looting graves at the Old Church Cemetery near Waynesboro. The cemetery dates back to 1758 and holds remains of revolutionary and confederate soldiers.

A $2,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest in the looting of graves in a historic cemetery near Waynesboro. The graves in Old Church Cemetery are very old and include veterans of the Revolutionary War and Civil War.

Georgia Power has been unable to agree with the Public Service Commission's staff on a proposal to cut the utility's earnings if the cost of building a new nuclear plant in eastern Georgia runs over budget. Now, the electric company wants the elected PSC members who will meet Thursday to scrap the plan.
