A new partnership between Gwinnett Technical College and Southern Polytechnic State University is expected to allow students to earn an associate's degree and easily transition to university-level studies.
The University of Georgia and six other colleges in the state have received a $4.9 million federal grant to encourage minority participation in science, math and technology fields. The program also aims to increase the number of minority students getting graduate degrees in those fields.
A group of public and private colleges in Georgia has formed a consortium to promote and improve engineering education in the state. They will look for ways to expand engineering education in the state.
