One of Georgia’s largest counties had problems on Tuesday's. Secretary of State Brian Kemp says there have been dozens of complaints regarding Fulton County. Kemp says there were reports of technology problems and poll workers giving voters incorrect information. He says the biggest problems appear to be with people who thought they were registered to vote.aints regarding Fulton County.

The State Archives are losing five staff members starting Thursday because of budget cuts from the Secretary of State. But Governor Deal was able to find money to keep the Archives from closing completely. It will be open two days a week. And the plan is to transfer it to the University System of Georgia.

On November 1st, Georgia will close the state archives to the public. Secretary of State Brian Kemp announced Thursday that due to budget cuts the archives in Morrow just south of Atlanta will operate only on an appointment basis.

Candidates in a close runoff for the 12th district congressional race won’t know who officially won until September 4th. That’s because the state is under court order to allow more time for absentee ballots to come in.

Secretary of State Brian Kemp says Georgia will hold its presidential primary on Super Tuesday. Kemp made the announcement Thursday that Georgians will go to the polls on March 6. State lawmakers gave Kemp until Dec. 1 to set Georgia's primary day. But the Republican National Party has asked states to submit their primary dates by Saturday.

Georgia’s Secretary of State’s Office and the non-profit Investor Protection Trust are teaming up to train doctors to include financial questions during check-ups with older patients. Georgia is among 22 states using funding from the Trust to combat what experts believe will be a growing problem as baby boomers age - scammers targeting people in the early stages of dementia or who are confused about their finances.
