A group of Georgia sheriffs departments will soon have access to a central database of each other’s incident reports, jail records and other data. The idea is to share information to cut down on constant calls back and forth and mailing warrants and other documents.

Head Start agencies in 13 central Georgia counties will offer free testing for lead poisoning to children enrolled in the programs. The testing is being provided because the area has the state's highest incidence of lead poisoning of young children.
