Georgia Trend magazine's annual list of 100 most influential Georgians includes some recognition for the state's arts community. The publication came out with its "power list" this week. It features mostly business and political leaders, with Governor Nathan Deal on the cover. But Georgia Trend also noted Atlanta painter Alejandro Aguilera and Georgia Council for the Arts director Karen Paty.

A new report says a million US jobs are at risk if the nation falls behind in upgrading its infrastructure. The American Society of Civil Engineers released a study saying the nation is "failing" supply chain demands.

A new report ranks Savannah harbor expansion as the state's top priority for improving cargo traffic. The state Transportation and Economic Development departments this week released an analysis that's being called Georgia's first comprehensive freight and logistics plan. The report stresses the link between ports and roads.

A study indicates that infrastructure improvements are needed to keep bottlenecks from hampering Georgia freight traffic. Morris News Service says an interim report of the study was discussed Wednesday by the State Transportation Board.

Savannah-area officials are working to attract another big warehouse. Not much is known about the potential new company and nothing is finalized. But, industry officials say, the area is courting a 1.4 million square-foot distribution center in Pooler.
