It is never too early to begin keeping tabs on the next batch of dominant players in the state of Georgia. In some cases, the top juniors at various positions are the top players in the state, regardless of class.

Class 5A was featured just one change as Norcross entered the rankings at No. 10. North Gwinnett was idle but will face undefeated the Blue Devils on the road this Friday night in the GPB.org game of the week

We are more-or-less halfway through the high school football season and several players that were on the initial Score 44 but fell off have worked their way back onto the list. Jason Croom who was a bit disappointing early on has really turned it on after declaring his intent to sign with Tennessee.

As more and more games are played the process of deciding who makes the cut becomes harder each week. The scale of potential vs. production is starting to tilt in the direction of production on the field, however you simply cannot ignore potential and who a player projects to be at the next level.

McEachern quarterback Trent Thompson will remember this game for the rest of his life. With less than two minutes left against North Gwinnett in the Kell Classic, Thompson led the Indians on a 75-yard drive which ended with a 4-yard touchdown run by Chris Nwagbara to take a 20-17 lead with 10 seconds remaining.
