In an important Region 2-AAAAA clash Brandon Addison preserved the victory for undefeated Stephenson on the game’s final play, as the Jaguars defeated East Coweta 24-17. With East Coweta inside the Stephenson 10-yard line, Addison sacked the Indians' quarterback.

Additions to the Score 44 this week include one player that was on the first list of the year and is back, as well as another player completely new to the list.

The Score 44 is getting harder and harder to tweak each week as players keep rising up to warrant inclusion to the increasingly-popular list of the best seniors in the state.

It is never too early to begin keeping tabs on the next batch of dominant players in the state of Georgia. In some cases, the top juniors at various positions are the top players in the state, regardless of class.

Class 5A was featured just one change as Norcross entered the rankings at No. 10. North Gwinnett was idle but will face undefeated the Blue Devils on the road this Friday night in the GPB.org game of the week

We are more-or-less halfway through the high school football season and several players that were on the initial Score 44 but fell off have worked their way back onto the list. Jason Croom who was a bit disappointing early on has really turned it on after declaring his intent to sign with Tennessee.

The No. 1 Buford Wolves have won four straight state titles but have lost at least one game each of the last two years. The one loss in 2009? The Lovett Lions upset Buford that year 28-21 to end Buford’s 32-game winning streak.

The biggest moves in this week’s poll came in the highest two classifications as Colquitt County fell following a 16-8 loss to Warner Robins and as East Paulding shut out Kell 34-0.

The second week of the full slate of high school football games did not disappoint. Chattahoochee looked to get their season off on the right foot, but Lambert spoiled their season opener with a convincing win on the Cougars' home turf.
