Museum of Aviation Director Ken Emery said the museum is getting rid of 29 planes and three missiles. He said the museum didn't have enough personnel to maintain all aircraft after Air Force personnel cuts in 2011 eliminated eight civilian positions at the museum.

The Georgia Air National Guard will keep 50 employees that were supposed to lose their jobs in September, The cuts were rescinded by the Department of Defense this week. Positions in Warner Robins and Savannah are impacted.

Robins Air Force Base is cutting additional positions on top of job losses announced in November. USAF part of effort to downsize the military's budget. More cuts could come as President Obama releases budget in February.

200 Robins Air Force Base employees accept offer to leave voluntarily. Some will get up to $25 thousand dollars as an incentive. Officials say more job losses could come in 2012.
