In search of his first major title, Lee Westwood made seven birdies and finished at 5-under par 67 to grab the first-round lead at the Masters. Westwood had a one-shot lead over Louis Oosthuizen, who finished birdie-birdie to shoot 68 on Monday.

The chairman of Augusta National said the course will be ready for the first round of the Masters on Thursday despite a "significant" storm that downed "several" trees and left several bunkers "completely washed out." Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus teed off as ceremonial starters at 7:40 a.m.; they were joined for the first time by Gary Player.

Golf fans are expecting this year's Master's Golf Tournament to be one of the best-ever. Players tee off this week at Augusta National Golf Club. It'll be hard to top last year's race to the finish line -- when at least eight-players had a shot at winning top prize on the last day. But top players appear to be at the top of their games, creating a huge buzz.
