The first day of a federal hearing for death row inmate Troy Anthony Davis is wrapping up in Savannah. Davis’ legal team hopes to convince a judge their client did not kill Savannah Police officer Mark MacPhail in 1989. They presented witnesses who identified Davis as the killer during the 1991 trial, but who told the judge today they were pressured to name Davis and in fact do not think he’s the killer.
