Georgia companies aren’t planning a lot of hiring in the last three months of the year. The latest Manpower Net Employment Outlook released Tuesday is 4 percent for Georgia -- down four points from the third quarter and two points from last year.
Fewer Georgia employers plan to hire additional workers this summer than expected to do so this spring. But four out of five Georgia companies -- 79 percent -- said they are keeping all of their staff right now.
A new survey from staffing firm Manpower shows 18 percent of Georgia employers expect to hire in the coming months and 6 percent plan layoffs. Both numbers are an improvement over the first quarter of the year.
