The threat of bird strikes to aircraft could doom plans for a waste transfer station in metro Atlanta. A Federal Aviation Administration study has led to concerns about a waste project planned for the Mableton area in Cobb County. At issue is the waste station's proximity to the Fulton County Airport at Charlie Brown Field.
