The University of Georgia has scheduled a one-hour memorial service for longtime Georgia radio announcer Larry Munson for 1 p.m. on Dec. 10 at Sanford Stadium. University officials say seating will be on the south side of the stadium, and the gates will open at noon.

A memorial service for Larry Munson, who was known by University of Georgia fans as the voice of the school's football team, will be held next month. The services are reported to be tentatively scheduled for Dec. 10 at Sanford Stadium. Officials said the time of the service will be announced later as arrangements are finalized.

Larry Munson, the voice of the Georgia Bulldogs for nearly 43 years, has died. He was 89. The university says Munson died at his Athens home of complications from pneumonia.
