Georgia’s manufacturing sector had a good February with increases in new orders, production, and some improvement in hiring. The Kia factory in West Point, Ga., is adding up to a thousand workers by the end of the year and is planning to add a third shift too.

A South Korean company is opening up shop in LaGrange. Hanil E-Hwa is one of a growing number of manufacturers locating to west Georgia to supply the new KIA motor plant. 173 jobs will be filled over three years. Hanil E-Hwa manufactures automotive interior parts such as door trim and seats.
