The nation re-elected President Barack Obama Tuesday for a second term in the White House. He told supporters that they deserve credit for his re-election victory. Obama tweeted, "This happened because of you. Thank you." Obama claimed the election with wins in Ohio, Iowa, New Hampshire, Colorado and Virginia. Georgians, however, voted overwhelmingly for Romney to hand him the state's 16 electoral votes.
