Ebola screenings are set to begin Thursday at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta and the head of the Centers for Disease Control said isolating patients who may have traveled to West Africa should be the focus of healthcare workers across the country.
Authorities say passengers were being allowed to return to their gates at Atlanta's airport after a small electrical explosion at a maintenance shop knocked out some power to one of the concourses. No one was injured.

A Georgia man convicted of killing his parents and sister was executed Thursday after the courts allowed what was likely the nation's first video-recorded execution in almost two decades. Andrew DeYoung was put to death by lethal injection at the state prison in Jackson after courts turned down his appeals.
