Lawyers for singer Gregg Allman and the producers of biopic “Midnight Rider” Tuesday asked a Chatham County judge to dismiss Allman’s lawsuit to block the film. They say they are on a “path to resolution” outside court. The lawyers on both sides of the case reportedly stayed late at the courthouse last night hammering out an agreement. The negotiations came after an initial hearing Monday that focused on a fatal train accident on the set of the film about Allman’s life.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday for 27-year-old Sarah Jones, who died last Thursday during a movie shoot outside Savannah. Jones was a second camera assistant on the film “Midnight Rider,” a biopic about Gregg Allman of the Allman Brothers Band.
