The state Senate has approved a bill that allows the University System of Georgia to take over management of the Georgia Archives. The bill unanimously passed the Senate Thursday. It now heads to Gov. Nathan Deal.

Hunters and anyone driving a water vessel in Georgia would face lower blood-alcohol limits under a proposal that has cleared the Georgia House of Representatives. The proposal would lower the current blood-alcohol limit from .10 percent to .08 percent, where it already stands for anyone operating a motor vehicle on Georgia roads.
