A Savannah-shot film gets its national debut this weekend. Robert Redford's "The Conspirator" tells the story of the lone woman charged in President Abraham Lincoln's assassination. Savannah stands in for Civil War era Washington D.C. and gets a lot of screen time. So do extras like Philip Aultman, who appears about a dozen times.

Georgia's film industry is booming and some industry experts say that is proof enough that film tax credits are working. A committee of state lawmakers is reviewing all of Georgia's tax code and is expected to recommend sweeping changes in the upcoming legislative session. On the chopping block could be dozens of tax breaks that cost the state money and don't produce jobs.

The state says 16 Georgia counties are especially ready for business when it comes to film and television crews. Counties include Hall, Bibb, Houston, and Chatham. Could be a record year for production in Georgia.
