An Atlanta Falcons executive says the team will consider moving to a suburban location if it does not strike a deal to build a new downtown stadium. Falcons President and CEO Rich McKay said Wednesday the team would have no choice but to consider a suburban site if negotiations on the downtown Atlanta site break down.

The Atlanta Falcons and the Georgia World Congress Center Authority have selected five architectural firms as finalists to design a proposed $1 billion retractable-roof stadium. GWCCA officials said finalists will prepare proposals including conceptual designs and will be interviewed within 30 days.
