    Georgia legislators won't get be getting a raise next year. In a unanimous decision, the Legislative Services Committee voted on Monday to freeze the cost-of-living adjustment for the third straight year. Members of the General Assembly earn $17,341.68. Georgia has a part-time Legislature that holds a 40-day session each year.

    A proposed law would require people receiving TANF benefits be drug tested. Applicants would have to pay for the screening. Money would be refunded to drug free but not those who test positive.
