The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation filed a civil complaint Friday against 11 former executives of the First National Bank of Georgia in Carrollton for negligence in their oversight.

A gun rights organization has challenged ordinances in the west Georgia city of Carrolton and in Carroll County which it says unfairly restrict the right to carry weapons. Handwritten letters, dated Friday, were delivered to officials with the county and city governments.
