The No. 2 Camden County Wildcats came to the Georgia Dome for a matchup against No. 8 Peachtree Ridge with something to prove. Despite boasting a squad complete with a loaded offense and a swarming defense, most of the preseason love was given to Grayson and steered away from the Wildcats.

Dozens of residents in Georgia's southeast corner remain cut off from their homes by floodwaters in Camden County, where the St. Marys River continues to rise. Mark Crews, the county's emergency management director, said Monday owners of about 45 homes are still unable to return home after flooding put roads in their neighborhood underwater Saturday, prompting an evacuation order.

Southeast Georgia residents are stockpiling sandbags and taking other precautions as the swollen St. Marys River continues to rise in Camden County. Mark Crews, the county's emergency management director, said Friday that water has already begun to seep over the riverbanks in isolated areas.

The St. Mary’s River near the Florida border is at record high flood levels. Even though Tropical Depression Debby has moved into the Atlantic Ocean, southeast Georgia will see flooding into the weekend.
