    Calhoun Beats Buford to win AA Crown
    1952 was a great year for Calhoun because the Yellow Jackets claimed their first state title. Fast forward to December 9, 2011 where the Yellow Jackets were facing Buford in the Class AA state title for the fourth consecutive year.

    Buford wins Brookwood Invitational
    Buford finished 5-1 in its 19th annual softball invitational to win its respective bracket. Three of the Wolves’ victories in pool play were shutouts; Tessa Daniels, who went 3-0 with a 0.00 ERA and a save, pitched two of the shutouts.
