The state Board of Education will hold a hearing Tuesday on whether to remove members of the Miller County school board. The hearing stems from a new state law that allows the governor to remove school board members in districts in danger of losing accreditation.

The Georgia Board of Education warned members of the Miller County school board that they could be removed from office if they don't settle a long-running dispute with the district's superintendent.
