Romain Dallemand repeatedly violated school board policy by ordering more than $26 million in technology equipment and services without required, prior approval from the board, according to a 2013 audit of the school system.
The State Board of Education Thursday approved a resolution to allow local school districts across the state to decide if they will make up school days missed due to the recent winter storms. Matt Cardoza, spokesman for the Department of Education says state law requires schools to be in session 180 days or its equivalent.
