With ceremonial tee shots from three of golf's greatest players, the Masters has started on an overcast day. Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Gary Player — with 13 green jackets between them — each struck a ball off the first tee to begin the first major of the year Thursday.
Golf fans are expecting this year's Master's Golf Tournament to be one of the best-ever. Players tee off this week at Augusta National Golf Club. It'll be hard to top last year's race to the finish line -- when at least eight-players had a shot at winning top prize on the last day. But top players appear to be at the top of their games, creating a huge buzz.
The cost for a coveted ticket to watch the Masters Tournament is increasing by $50. The Augusta Chronicle reports that Tournament patrons who receive series badges each year were notified this week that the cost of a Masters badge is now $250. It's the first increase since 2009, when the price went up $25 to $200.
