An Atlanta church congregation has voted to accept a $19.5 million offer to relocate so the Atlanta Falcons can build a new stadium downtown. Friendship Baptist Church members voted Sunday to accept the offer for their land south of the Georgia Dome.

An Atlanta church congregation has voted to accept the city's $14.5 million offer to relocate so the Atlanta Falcons can build a new stadium. Members of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church voted overwhelmingly Thursday in favor of accepting the offer for their land south of the Georgia Dome.

Georgia Lottery officials have launched a new Atlanta Falcons-themed game. Officials said Tuesday that Atlanta Falcons Big Win is a $5 game with top prizes of $350,000. Georgia Lottery officials say 2013 marks the fourth consecutive year the franchise has partnered with them to create a game.

Mayor Kasim Reed says Atlanta has reached a $19.5 million preliminary deal to buy the property of one of two churches needed to build a new stadium for the Atlanta Falcons. Reed said Tuesday that the deal must still be ratified by officials at Friendship Baptist Church.

A state agency negotiating for land to build a new NFL stadium has broken off talks with one of two churches in its path. The Georgia World Congress Center Authority informed Mount Vernon Baptist Church in a letter that it is "officially terminating negotiations" and "abandoning its efforts" to purchase the church's property on the southwest edge of downtown Atlanta.

Attention is shifting to a second site for a stadium that would be the new home for the Atlanta Falcons. A deadline to buy two churches on the stadium's preferred site is just over a week away, and no deal with the congregations has been reached.
