MARTA CEO Keith Parker has big plans for metro Atlanta's transit system, which he shared Thursday at the third-annual State of MARTA breakfast.

Those plans include expanding service, revamping MARTA stations like the one at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, and adding Wi-Fi to all trains and buses by mid-2017.

Those improvements won't come cheap. That's why Parker says he'll go to Georgia lawmakers this year to ask for more transit funding.

"We are absolutely wide open to any and every idea, but we think we've made a very strong case as to why MARTA needs to expand and the great economic benefit that public transit investment brings," he says.

The 2016 legislative session starts Monday.
