Fulton County Superior Court spokeswoman Tiffany Russell said the man was reporting to the court's pretrial services program Tuesday. She said it was determined he had a gun and officers were going to arrest him.

Russell said the man, whose name has not been released, was taken to a hospital and was in critical condition. He later died from his injuries.
