Contract Expires For Southern AT&T Workers

Negotiations continue for unionized AT&T workers in nine Southern states, including Georgia.
An contract for over 24,000 employees expired this weekend, but they will not strike.
A spokesperson for the Communication Workers of America tells Bloomberg News “we’re going to keep our fight for a fair contract going while we stay on the job.”
The CWA wants concessions from the telecom giant on a range of issues-from working conditions and healthcare costs to job security.
