A Navy submarine sailor has been sentenced to two years in a military prison for illegally making and trading videos of female officers undressing for the shower. The recordings were made aboard the USS Wyoming, which is based at Kings Bay Naval Station on the Georgia coast.

Missile Technician Charles Greaves pleaded guilty Tuesday and apologized to four women officers, all of whom testified against him.

Greaves is among seven male sailors charged with making and trading illicit videos of the four female officers. The women were among the first females to serve on Navy submarines.

Fighting through tears, the women officers said their careers had been ruined or derailed by the videos.

Navy prosecuting attorney Lt. Cmdr. Lee Marsh asked the military judge to enforce the stiffest penalty to send a message to women service members that they are a valued part of the Navy.
